Legend variants may exist. The KM catalog has the obverse as TRA / REC / NEM , but this could have been a mis-reading.

In 1657 the City of Utrecht introduced a new type of duit, due to the massive counterfeiting by Reckheim of the older types. Reckheim eventually responded with a new type which combined elements of several earlier types of Utrecht duits. The obverse comes from an earlier Utrecht (and Reckheim) type, whereas the reverse design combines the new Utrecht stype (coat of arms with lion supporters), but imitates the arms of Utrecht Province (crosses/lions).
